With the help of her friends and fellow parishioners, she managed to raise over $2000 from washing cars over the course of a couple of hours to send to the Red Cross. In high school, she teamed Archbishop Woods Encounter program, by speaking about her life experiences to help empower her fellow students in handling the trials of being a teenager. She continued in the summer of 2000 heading to Mexico City for Senior week on a Archdiocese sponsored Mission trip for 20 days bringing supplies, clothes and toys for local communities in and around Mexico City.
At West Chester, following her love of animals, Andrea spent time working with handicapped children through horse therapy lessons at Hope Springs Equestrians in Malvern, as well as spending her Saturday mornings at the West Chester SPCA working on rehabilitating abandoned dogs.
Silvio has been actively involved in the Feasterville Business Association since 1994 and has held numerous titles for the FBA including Sergeant of Arms. The FBA's mission is to foster and encourage growth, progress, and the betterment of our community. For the past 6 years he has been a part of the Feasterville Rotary Club as well as the Lower Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
Silvio is also an active member of the PA Foundation for Free Enterprise Education (PFEW). Every summer, along with the help of numerous other local business leaders, Silvio helps to teach high school students about the wonders of our private enterprise system and what it means to our democratic form of government.
Silvio also serves as a parish Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Assumption BVM Parish in Feasterville, PA, and is a member of Knights of Columbus and the Sons of Italy.
Andrea's community service career started in April of 1995 after the Oklahoma City Bombing. Once news of the horrific attack broke, she rallied together with her local community hardware stores and hosted a car wash at her local community church.
In 2007, Andrea got involved with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program and completed the Nike Women's marathon in San Francisco, along with her cousin Caitlin after raising over $9,000 for local cancer research. From there she has been instrumental in mentoring and coaching other participants to complete endurance events, along with finishing the 2009 Nation's Olympic Triathlon in Washington DC.
She is also the volunteer coordinator for the Southeastern PA Division of the March of Dimes. In 2011, her Downingtown PA walksite raised over $122,000 towards helping moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.
